Meet the Team

Tyne Buchy

Co-Founder and Director

With over six years of clinical experience, Tyne brings a blend of expertise, compassion, and a strong commitment to ethical practice in all aspects of her work. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Tyne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2014, followed by a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2019. Her professional focus has centered on reducing barriers to evidence-based, trauma-informed care for underserved populations. Over the years, she has collaborated with several non-profit organizations and has designed and facilitated workshops for fellow clinicians, furthering education and accessibility within the counselling field.

Before entering private practice, Tyne worked for over five years in corporate sales, bringing with her a unique perspective that combines business acumen with a deep dedication to mental health and community care.

In 2025, Tyne was nominated for the BCACC Practitioner’s Award in recognition of her contributions as a private practice clinician.

Rebecca Olds

Co-Founder and Director

Rebecca brings a compassionate, evidence-informed approach to supporting individuals and organizations as a counsellor and educator. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Alberta and a Master's in Counselling Psychology from Adler University.

Rebecca’s clinical work is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and culturally responsive care. Rebecca has owned a private practice for six years, where she specializes in working with children and families. She spent five years working within an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), where she provided direct counselling and facilitated corporate training across British Columbia. Rebecca has also designed and led workshops for a wide range of clientele -  such as public universities and colleges, school districts and medical organizations - on topics relating to mental health, communication, stress management, and workplace wellbeing.

In addition to Rebecca’s private counselling practice, she is currently a professor at a college, where she teaches and mentors future helping professionals. Her work bridges both individual healing and broader systemic change through education and community outreach.
